Texture Series 2nd Draft

For my second draft i tried to only focus on the texture and have no background. I wanted to remove the context of the texture so it would not be automatically evident to the viewer what the origins of the texture are. I also wanted to have a focal focus point of the textures so it was clear but also blurry and fading. I did not intentionally do this, but the colors of my second draft are cohesive and i like the way they relate to one another.

Texture Series

I originally wanted to do portraits for my series but when i went out to shoot i decided i wanted to take pictures of different textures. feeling is a sense that i think we take for granted and there are so many strange and interesting textures all around us, which is why im excited to do this project. my camera is especially good at close ups and focus so i think it helped me alot when doing my first draft.

Negative Space

I have done negative space assignments in every photography class I've taken so i am very familiar with the concept. with that being said it was difficult for me to find a shot that i had not already taken. I was looking for interesting outlines and random hidden shadows to make my images more interesting. I think that negative space often looks best in black and white, so I tried to find a few shots that i thought could be interesting in color.
