Best of Series 1-3, Henri Cartier Bresson

For this final series i tried to include the ten elements i included in my paper: “focus on geometry, be patient, travel, stick to one lens, take photos of children, be unobtrusive, see the world like a painter, don’t crop, don’t worry about processing, and always strive for more" While i couldnt travel very far, i believe i included all of those points in my best of series. The most important thing that i felt while doing these series was waiting for the moment. It was easy for my choose my pictures for this draft because i waited for the moment for all of them.

Series Final Draft

A big part of Cartier- Bressons style was photographing children. I tried to focus on childish moments and the moment as a large part as well. I think i did a good job of waiting for each picture and on my final card when i downloaded i didnt have that many shots but had enough for my post. I also tried to look at geometry and envisioning the shot as a painting. To also imitated Henri Cartier-Bresson's style by doing very little editing and tried to make the pictures natural.

Series 2

I really tried to focus on candid pictures of people on the street with an emphasis of discretion. I also didnt edit my photos very much which was a belief of Henri Cartier Bresson. I wanted to capture people in their natural state as they moved through their day and i think i was successful at doing that. I was also very patient when shooting. I think the picture of the sheep at the bottom is the best one representing Cartier-Bressons style because the setting, shadows, pose, and composition all come together in a moment.
