I wanted to further develop my shade series by creating different collages. Its interesting to me that this started from 9 pictures going from white to black and the final product looks like this. I'm really happy with my final draft and think that there was a steady progression in concept from simple to complicated.

Mutli Shade Second Draft
I wanted to continue from my previous project but with an emphasis on shades rather then colors. I shot in black and white so i could evaluate the values in the moment and try to imagine a cohesive final piece composed of light to dark progression. I first tried to see what my final color grid looked like in black and white and it wasnt nearly as satisfying as this final draft is. I think it turned out well and one can see the clear advancement from light to dark and then identify a clear pattern.

The Rainbow- Final Draft
This project was extremely time consuming and tedious. I started with the concept of exploring the color variations of the rainbow. I wanted to find separate objects that were a particular color and combine/compare it next to other values and hues of that color. When i made the individuale color grids, I then wanted to make a cohesive final rainbow grid, showing the unity of the rainbow. Robbert Flick and his work influenced my final draft when combining all my pieces. I upoloaded all the sections that created the final grid at the top.

Rainbow Series 2nd Draft
for my second draft, i realized that the transition from yellow to green and green to blue was abrupt. I found colors in between the two shades to make it appear more natural and flowing and think the additions were beneficial. I also wanted to do a reverse grid of the rainbow to see how purple first and red last would affect the overall tone and impression of the series.
